Scalable System Design for Assisted Recall: Leveraging everyday mobile phones and web services

Abstract

Human memory is a selective process where details are often lost, yet some types of research relies heavily on human memorization. Studies have shown that photographs help enhance the memory significantly. This study envisions to create a low-cost, mass-scale system using cell phones and to handle the massive amount of data that live image capture tends to implicate.
