A New Synthetic Route to Heterocyclic Quinones
Abstract
The synthesis of a variety of heterocyclic quinones is described. This involves a series of unusual transformations of azidoquinones having an active methylene group in conjugation with the azide moiety. Generation of the conjugate base induces nitrogen loss and subsequent heterocyclic ring formation. © 1989.
