Polychromes: Fields and Points is a two-movement musical work for large wind ensemble and percussion. The title refers to the exploration of varying colors within the ensemble: while some musical colors move to the foreground, others move to the background and vice versa to create a multidimensional sound. The first movement was inspired by a dense harmony of the composer's own creation, that evolves into the natural overtone series. The second movement involves highly contrasting musical material that competes for the foreground.
