A Lakota Action Script: Embodying Indigenous sovereignty in voice

Abstract

Alongside the creation and reading of a feature-length film script, this accompanying essay provides an analysis of the story and reflection of the creation of the script, including work undertaken while attending University of California Los Angeles. Historical context and current challenges for Native American peoples are examined in relation to their impact on the creation of this feature-length film script.
